"Kursiu Linija", the Lithuanian based intra European liner operator, is pleased to announce the following improvements and additions to its existing services.
From 5th of April, "Kursiu Linija" will be upgrading its UK/Benelux service from its existing two vessels, to three larger vessels. This service upgrade will provide customers with two fixed day weekly departures from its home port of Klaipeda in Lithuania to the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium. The three vessels, that will operate this service, are the MV "Betsy S" and MV "Zenit" both with a nominal capacity of 366 TEU and MV "Maryam" with a nominal capacity of 350 TEU. All three are modern fully fitted container vessels.
From the beginning of April, "Kursiu Linija" will change its North UK port of call to Teesport, which will also have two fixed day departures each week.
Further a new port of call is being added to the service, this being Gdansk in Poland. The agent in Poland will be company "Kursiu Linija Polska" SP.z.o.o.
"Kursiu Linija" are also increasing their container fleet, by the purchase of a further 200x45' units and 30x45' reefer units. The second batch of 100x45' units are currently delivery and the remainder are currently manufactured in China for delivery over the next two months. These new units will bring the total number of 45' units in the lines fleet to 545.
