MacAndrews has announced the opening of an agency for France, based in Le Havre. The new agency, which will be run by Jean-Louis Troiano, General Manager, will open for business on 1st December. Its main focus will be on short-sea inter-European trades and deep-sea routes, with particular emphasis on those serving the Indian sub-continent.
MacAndrews’ move underlines the importance of the French market to the company, and its desire to serve its French customers directly. Significant trade growth is expected in France, especially with Indian markets.
“This is a very significant new development, enabling us to offer an increased range of services directly to our customers in France”, states Jean-Louis Troiano. “Customers will have access to our increasingly wide network of services and the modern tonnage that we operate. This enables us to guarantee fast transit times, competitive tariffs and full supply chain solutions.”
The French operation joins a number of other wholly-owned agencies which MacAndrews has been opening in Europe in recent years. These include agencies in Hamburg, Antwerp and Rotterdam. The North West Continent is playing an increasingly important role in the container shipping services that MacAndrews offer to importers and exporters.
